This biner is meant solely for hammock ridgeline and are not rated for hammock suspension.
This titanium biner is strong enough to hold your ridgeline while only weighing in at just 2.55 grams. It is made of titanium with a professional stainless steel spring gate this is the mightiest biner so far. Put it on your hammock ridgeline and you will forget it is there until you want to disconnect it to turn your hammock into a lounger. They also work well to connect your tarp to your ridgeline, your quilt to your suspension, or fasten anything to the back of your pack.

Awesome little biners.
Awesome little biners. I don’t use them for the ridgeline, but I clip them onto other things and they’re useful in a lot of spots. I keep on on my belt loop to clip my compass to and others to clip various gear to my pack. Handy and super light, excellent combo!

I used it as its namesake intends, as a ridgeline biner, and am 100% satisfied. I’m not quite a weight weenie yet, but definitely appreciate being able to size down my pack. Where does this attach on a cinch strap? Hoping this won’t alter my 83% with fixed 110″ ridgeline from Dutch for my 11′ Dutch hammock. Pictures of where is best place to attach in a cinch strap. Thanks

The biner will get attached directly to your continuous loop on your hammock and not to your suspension.

This little bling is so small and lightweight I wish I could get more for other uses! I have had some issues though. Due to angles of pull and larks heads on the continuous loops at the ends of my hammock, it can sometimes sit crooked and not aligned with the pull. One time the angle and CL opened the gate and I saw it before it could disconnect. Another time the entire ridgeline fell out of the open gate when the CL applied pressure to it. I can probably alleviate this by turning the biner around or checking the angles each time. Still a 5-star product

Are these the correct biners for attaching your urc structural adjustable ridgeline? I am concerned about 100lb rating.

I noticed someone else had a concern about the 100 lb rating on these. When using as a hammock ridgeline, isnt it holding the weight of the person in the hammock? How does that actually work if it isnt?

The Titanium Ridgeline Biner is for tarp ridgelines and hammock structural ridgelines. A hammock structural ridgeline shouldn’t have more than about 10 pounds of weight:

This seems like it might be the best option for doing a PCT bear bag hang. I have noticed an aluminum carabiner I have has developed wear from sliding up and down the rope over and over. Do you think this would be the best option for that? It doesn’t need to hold more than maybe 15 pounds at the extreme high end, but I think the additional durability of the Ti might be worth it.
