Cinch Bugs are a simple and light way to hang your hammock. This may be the perfect cinch buckle. You can use them with a bridge or gathered end hammock. You can connect a whoopie sling or a continuous loop.  The Aluminum Slider has finger grips so you can easily pull it apart and then it adjusts easily. Once the slider locks into position you are set. The hardware alone weighs just 10.9 grams for the pair.
These buckles work well with 1-inch polyester and Spider/Poly webbing and will hold up to 300 pounds. We do not suggest using these with UWHMPE or Kevlar webbing.

Can this be used with a spreader bar when hanging two hammocks from the same trees?

No, the spreader bar tips do not fit with this hardware.

1 inch straps. We do not recommend using these with Kevlar.

Are these okay to use with dyneema straps?

They work well with the Dyneema Polypro straps but not the Dyneema 2.0.

The actual weight is 10.9 grams. I have edited the description. The weigh listed at the bottom is the shipped weight with packaging.

Can you use Kevlar straps with cinch buckles if you tie a slippery hitch above the buckle with the tag end of the strap?

We do not recommend using kevlar with the cinch bugs however they do work well with polyester and dyneema/polypro webbing.

I Just bought this because the Beatles were out of stock. I’ve read “bridge” and thoug the hole were to put the spread bar… I should had read the discussion before… So I’d like to suggest add this information on the Description. Also, It has corners too Sharp for the amsteel, less than 1h hang the amsteel showed detrition, not smoothed corners like some Double hooks, I will fix that with a file.

No they will not as they are made to work with polyester or polyester blended straps.

seat belt webbing is to wide for a cinch buckle as it will only hold 1″ webbing.

Are both parts made out of aluminum?

The hook part is titanium and the slider part is aluminum.
