The Sidesling is an easy access storage shelf that can hold small or large items. You will be able to access items in the Sidesling from the inside or the outside of the hammock. It is completely removable or can be used with your Chameleon bugnet or top cover.

So, this just zips on to the Chameleon bug net that is already in place? I’m kinda confused. Maybe you will have a video up soon to explain? It looks very useful.

Will it hold a top quilt?

It will fit just might spill out of it a bit as it is a more shallow pocket. The sidecar would be a better application for this.

I have only had this thing for about a week now, and absolutely am in love. I had one made from Hexon 2.4 in poppy red, and it looks fantastic. It has a ton of space for all of my crap, and really is a step up to letting my stuff roll around freely in my hammock. On top of this, my little ankle biter loves to use it as a mini hammock. Dutch, your an accessory genius. Keep it up!

hi, will it affect the tieout? and the entrance can still be on both side?

No this will not affect the tie out as this will work just like the sidecar. You will also be able to access the pocket from inside or outside of your hammock and you can zipper it onto either side.

So, I got a Chameleon with a asym top cover, and a side car, my only complaint is that you almost have to use the tie outs on the sidecar, otherwise, it seems to almost become a top cover extension, allowing the top cover to sag into my face if there isnt’ something in there. I almost wish there was a d ring/hook situation so you could fasten the top edges of the sidewcar together, so they don’t spread out.. granted, once i put several things in there to weight it down, or tie down the bottom corners, it seems much better. All in all a small complaint for having the awesome storage option and being able to get to my stuff. Thanks Dutch for an awesome hang. I’m currently set up in my basement, but hope to be getting out there in a few weeks!

Will the sidecar fit a chameleon wide hammock?

Is the Red color listed in the drop-down the same as the Brick Red color in the thumbnails? Also, is there a thumbnail for Lime Green?

Easily my go to storage device for all things. It’s super easy to get anything you need from this and it can hold quite a few things. I just lovethat i can set my mug/snack here and all that other stuff when I’m unwinding after a nice day outside. If you’re looking to store a quilt/jacket/big ticket item (ie winter camping) i think the side car would be a better choice.
This is my default storage system and I wouldn’t ever leave on a trip without it (or a side car depending on weather).
