Description
GrizzlyAdams “Grizz” designed a simple yet effective tarp enclosure that provides protection and added storage. One Grizz beak encloses one end of the tarp. Two Grizz beaks enclose both ends of the tarp providing maximum protection from bad weather. The door panels are cut large enough to provide sufficient overlap and still provide a nice size vestibule for gear storage.
Standard Size Grizz beaks
There are two styles. One for Hex tarps and one for rectangle tarps. This Standard size Grizz beak is designed to fit approximately 10′ wide tarps.
Choose 1 Grizz Beak to enclose one end of your tarp or 2 Grizz Beaks to enclose both ends.

John Mury –
2QZQ used to make this in Dyneema. Any chance you’ll offer that option?
jeanna.watson –
Will this fit the Wide Rectangle Tarps?
Dave Gantz –
This is made for tarps as wide as 10 feet, so it won’t work perfectly with a wide tarp, but it will still provide a lot of protection.
Jeff Mercy –
i see you examples and your description only lists hex and rectangular tarps. Will this work with you asym tarp? Will you off it in dyneema?
Dave Gantz –
It does not work well with asym tarps. We hope to offer a Dyneema style Grizz Beak in the future.

I don’t see the option to choose Hex or Rectangular for the Grizz Beak. Which is it? I need Hex.
Dave Gantz –
We are able to make the Hex style right now. We will have more options in the future, though.
Michael Sparks –
Is the Grizz Beak made from sil-poly or sil-nylon?
Dave Gantz –
These are made with our Xenon Sil/Poly material.
silindza –
Will the work on the bonded xenon two person tarp?
Dave Gantz –
It will not. It only works with our standard width tarps.
Selinda Van Horn –
What is the difference between the hex tarp and the rectangular tarp frizz beak?
Customer Service –
They have two different cuts to fit the different cuts/shapes of these tarps. =)
Selinda Van Horn –
What is the length of the opening of the doors from top to bottom?
Customer Service –

We double hang in our bonded xenon wide winter, but couldn’t get the doors closed because of the two hammock suspensions. Just put the tarp doors opened. The grizzly beak closes the gap between the hammocks and keeps the breeze out. A great addition.
Customer Service –
Thanks for sharing, Selinda. So glad you found a solution!

I picked these up as an alternative to a winter tarp for rainy outings. Kept the basic hex tarp for sunny days & bust these out of if the weather turns. No real magic to getting it setup & they pack down to almost nothing.

Can these help end coverage on falcon tarps?
