Soft Shackles are the easiest and lightest way to connect and center your tarp on a Continuous Ridgeline. They are made out of yellow Zing-It! ™ or grey Lash-It! ™, these are weightless at .625 grams each and approximately 5-inches in length. Soft shackles are designed to become a Prusik for your tarp, but they can open up to disconnect your tarp. They are sold individually and of course, Made in America.

Have you considered using the improved soft shackle splicing technique? It’s how I make mine. I find it is much safer and stronger without the risk of possibly becoming untied.

Any plans to make these in 7/64 as an option for connecting the whoopie sling to the CL on the hammock without relying on a lark’s head?

Purchased a set for another system for my tarp. They are a little slick with the coating and my lash it but a couple more wraps should take care of it. Thanks Dutch!
