Not for gram weenies, but good stakesI got these because a few more grams makes no difference to me and I wanted strong stakes that wouldn’t bend easily. I’ve bent plenty of aluminum stakes, these are just as small, not quite as light but much stronger.
I also like the hook shape, if you have ever stood on one of your stakes you will realise that these are the lowest pain shape you can get. They also work just fine for the job required of them.

Great!I bought these by mistake. I thought I was purchasing the regular titanium Shepard’s hook stakes. When I got them in I was slightly disappointed. That was until I actually used them! The diameter of these stakes hold so much better than the standard ones! With such a minute weight difference, it is a no brainer. I have gone ahead and puchased more of them. They are my go to stakes. I got caught in a thunderstorm with 35-45 mph winds. All of my regular Shepard’s hooks pulled out while these held. They were the lead stakes facing into the wind. I am a real believer now! Just coat the hooks in plastidip.

I recently got these and haven’t used them in the field. That said, they appear to be stronger than the typical skinny Ti stake. I expect them to be my regular stakes for a tarp or tarptent on my normal trips to timberline in the Sierra, that is, hard and rocky ground with potentially windy conditions. Just to provide data, the stakes I received are 7-5/8″ (19.3 cm) long and weigh 11.1 g (average of 8 stakes) measured on a laboratory balance accurate to 0.01 g. The diameter is 0.151″ (3.84 mm).

This is simply a great hook stake, a nice weight and strength for general use.
