    Hi,

How do the dimensions of this tarp compare with your wide asym? If it is quite a bit smaller, will you offer the asym in dyneema?

    • DutchWare Gear

The dyneema tarp is a little over 8ft. for the width and the wide will be 12.5ft. If you are asking if we will offer the wide in dyneema then the answer is no.

  2. scott2

How does this compare with the asym coverage on a Hennessy hammock Backpacker? By the numbers this seems larger, but the asym makes full coverage difficult sometimes.

    • DutchWare Gear

The dimensions on our asym dyneema tarp will be as follows:
      ridgeline – 11′
width – 106″ (this is from tieout point to tieout point)

Is there a tie out option for this tarp or does that need to be added separately?

    • DutchWare Gear

You will need to purchase ridgeline and guy line tie outs separately for this tarp.

  4. Errol Flynn

Would I be able to order this tarp with Tarpwormz attached at the two guy outs?

This tarp is an incredible piece of gear! I used it on a 3 day trip that was supposed to be fair weather…. but all 3 days there were thunderstorms and gulley washers. I stayed perfectly dry under this tarp! There was only a tiny bit of spray from the ground that misted my sidecar, but that was it! I expected to wake up soaked but all my down quilts were dry as a bone! I am still amazed how well this tarp worked! On a side note it packs up super small and is great for ultra lighters!

Is it normal for the ridgeline tie outs to also be asymmetrical, i.e. not pull out straight/parallel with the ridgeline but pull at opposing angles?

  7. rondetullio

can this be flipped over for an opposite lay?

  8. Matthew West

Description says the ridge line in 10ft 8in. Is this designed to work with an 11 ft chameleon hammock? The image shows the ridge line as 128 in, which is only 10ft 6in. Feel like there some discrepancies here that need to be explained better.

    • Dave Gantz

This is an ultralight tarp that provides a minimalist shelter experience. The ridgeline is just long enough for an 11ft hammock (Chameleon) when the hammock and tarp are set up properly. The hammock in the photo is an 11ft hammock.

As far as color option. Is the white option actually white or clear?

    • Dave Gantz

It is white, but the fabric is quite transparent. Go with camo for more privacy/less transparency.

Does this tarp have tie-outs like the photos show? If not, do you sell DCF Self-Adhesive Tie-outs?
    Thanks

    • Dave Gantz

Yes, this tarp has a 1/2″ Beastee Dring tieout point on all four corners.

  11. d.stan305

So how long is the ridgeline?
In the comments I read 11′
    The diagram says 128″

    • Alex Thomas

It is 10ft 8 inches like the diagram and product description says.

I took this out over Memorial Day weekend and it kept me perfectly dry during some PNW on-and-off rain and mild wind. I was initially worried about having to keep a good diagonal lay to stay dry, but the tarp is juuuust big enough to keep water out while laying, sitting up, and moving around in my 11′ hammock. The small tarp area not only cut’s down on weight, but also makes packing and unpacking super easy without letting anything touch the ground. I’ve also got to give a huge shoutout and THANK YOU to the Dutch team for working with me to make a few custom changes to the tie outs!
