Description
Reflective Dutch Cord is a great, rigid rope made with a UHMWPE core and a Polyethylene terephthalate outer sheath with a reflective tracer. This rope acts like wire does and can hold its shape and because of the rigidness of the rope it is easy to loosen knots and it does not tangle easily.
*All Specs are estimates and may vary from batch to batch.
Breaking Strength: 100 pounds
Diameter: 1.3mm
Weight: 0.4 grams per foot
Note: This does not work well with Dutchware hardware with the exception of Tarpworms and Hooksworms.

Does this work with the Lineloc 3? I know the Lineloc 3 is meant for 1.5 mm and up, and this is 1.3 mmm, but was wondering if the stiffness and grabbiness of this meant it might work anyway. I’d be using it for tarp guy lines.

No, it is too small but it does work well with the slide locks. https://dutchwaregear-dev-3.cospark.io/slide-lock.html

extremely thin, yet easy to tieGenius Design, super thin, yet easy to tie due to its stiffness and capacity to stay in place rather than spring. Thank you Dutch

Super thin Picked up 50 feet of the yellow Dutch Wire while visiting his shop. Very small diameter and light weight. Being stiff makes it easy to work with. Will be testing it as tarp tie out lines this winter and as part of some new tarp QRL’s I have made..

Does this work well with the fleaz?
Carolyn Palmer –
No the dutch wire will not work with the fleaz and we recommend to use a hollow braided rope as it will provide strength. Dutch wire is great as it holds knots well and does not easily tangle. It is most commonly used for tarp tie outs and such.

Hi, My current tarp uses your hollow core Reflect-It for its CRL and guy lines. To make adjustable guy lines, I pass them through Prusik loops (also made of Reflect-It) that are Larks headed to my tarp’s tie out rings. For my new tarp I’m considering using Reflective Dutch Wire for the guy lines instead of Reflect-It. In this case, would it be best to make the Prusik loops from the Dutch Wire also or would Reflect-It / Zing-It work better as a Prusik loop sliding along the Reflective Dutch Wire? Thanks!

It will hold just fine if you choose to use the reflective on the reflect it rope or the reflective on reflective will slide against each other.

If I order a quantity of 2, will it come in a continuous 50 ft or 2 separate 25 ft pieces? Thanks
Carolyn –
one continuous 50′ length unless otherwise stated in the notes.

Like the other sheathed small diameter guyline I’ve tried, this can saw through itself when untying a trucker’s hitch.

Gonna have orange back in stock anytime soon?
Dave Gantz –
We are not restocking the orange cord.

I’m happy with this cord. I really hope it will be available in non reflective.
