  1. Charles Morrow

Is this fabric suitable for underquilt protectors? If so, do you have plans to make some?

    • Dave Gantz

We don’t plan to use this for underquilt protectors, but it is possible. Email us for custom design options: sales@dutchwaregear.com

  2. sbreve1

What needle and thread to you suggest for this thin fabric? It seems that the Mara 70 or Tera 80 thread would be too large. Thank you.

  3. Alec Cade (verified owner)

What needle size and thread would you recommend for sewing Argon49? (Singer 4411 sewing machine if that affects anything)

  4. brailleh7

Can you print the kryptek patterns on this fabric ?

    • Dave Gantz

We don’t have licensing approval for that fabric yet, but we expect to within the next few months.

  5. umana.juanignacio

    Morrocan Blue?

Is the morrocan blue option really available for this fabric? Can you upload a picture (or close color scheme)

    Thans!

    • Dave Gantz

It is an option; we’ll load a photo of that color as soon as we can. Thank you!

  6. was.ist.mu

Does this fabric have any coating or DWR treatment?

    • Dave Gantz

      It is treated with DWR.

  7. ryanshadrin

Can 7d nylon accept heat transfer vinyl applications or other methods of applying a brandmark or logo to the material?

  8. Liam Bligh (verified owner)

Would it be safe to tumble dry a quilt made from this fabric on low or no heat? Thanks

    • Dave Gantz

Go for no heat. If any hardware gets hot and then sits on the fabric after the drier stops, it may melt the fabric. So be sure to not let this happen.

  9. t.henning

What kind of DWR is used with the ARGON 49? Is it a PFC free or using C8 fluorocarbons or C6 fluorocarbons? Thanks.

    • Dave Gantz

We are transitioning to carbon free DWR this year, so we plan to have this fabric available in eco-friendly DWR by the end of 2022.

  10. temptingthemuse

Can this be used for an underquilt protector on a Hellbender hammock?

    • Alex Thomas

Yes, you could use this for an UQ protector.

  11. temptingthemuse

Can this be used for a hammock / quilt catch all sack ?

  12. bensonh

Would this fabric work well to make a windbreaker out of?

    • Alex Thomas

Yes, this could work. Just know that this is an ultralight fabric and you wouldn’t want to be bushwacking or anything with it.
